Groundwater Class Action Fails As 'Individual Issues Pervade' The Case, Judge Says

CAMDEN, N.J. - A federal judge in New Jersey on Aug. 21 dismissed a class action filed by residents who contended that Sherwin-Williams was liable for contaminating groundwater and soil with various toxic chemicals, ruling that "significant individual issues pervade this entire action" and defeat the lawsuit (Brad Lafferty, et al. v. The Sherwin-Williams Co., No. 17-06321, D. N.J.).
