EPA, State Agency, City Of Flint Guilty Of 'Lapses' In Water Crisis, Report Finds

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on July 19 released a report in which it concluded that the circumstances and response to the drinking water contamination in Flint, Mich., "involved implementation and oversight lapses" at the EPA, the state of Michigan, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and the city of Flint.
