Fishing fleets travelling further to catch fewer fish

(University of British Columbia) Industrial fishing fleets have doubled the distance they travel to fishing grounds since 1950, which means that they are now able to reach 90 percent of the global ocean, but are catching only a third of what they did 65 years ago per kilometer traveled.
