Previously overlooked 'coral ticks' weaken degraded reefs

(Georgia Institute of Technology) A previously overlooked predator -- a thumbnail-sized snail -- could be increasing the pressure on coral reefs already weakened by the effects of overfishing, rising ocean temperatures, pollution and other threats.
