Wangerin. The structures of the new alkaloids were elucidated by means of extensive spectroscopic analysis (2D NMR, HRESIMS). All alkaloids were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against three human cancer cell lines, A-549, Hela and SKOV-3. Compounds 1-4, 6, 8 and 9 exhibited significant inhibitory effects against three human cancer cells with IC50 values (0.1–14 μM) comparable to those of cisplatin.Graphical abstract
