To the Editor — Flecainide and propafenone: Good twins for premature ventricular contractions’ killing but not exactly superimposable
We have read with great interest the article by Hyman et al1 dealing with successful use of class IC antiarrhythmic drugs (IC-AADs) in patients with premature ventricular contraction (PVC)–induced cardiomyopathy. Their results are of great practical interest despite the small population studied. Even though the long-term efficacy of IC-AADs as PVC kil ler is well known since 1980s,2 their use in people with left ventricular dysfunction is not established at all. We have 2 comments for the sake of practical use.
