Predicting CRT Outcomes: It is more than just Left Bundle Branch Block

Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) is a cornerstone of therapy for the treatment heart failure (HF) with a reduced ejection fraction with QRS prolongation. Large, multicenter, randomized trial established the benefit of CRT in appropriate cohorts to reduce heart failure hospitalization and mortality, as well as to improve quality of life, exercise tolerance and functional status. Despite these impressive results, much focus recently has been directed towards identifying nonresponders, which is commonly stated as constituting 30% of all CRT patients.
