Publication date: June 2018 Source:Biochemical Systematics and Ecology, Volume 78 Author(s): Wen-Wen Peng, Zhi-Yong Zhang, Chang-Jiu Ji, Bo Li, Chun-Peng Wan, Xin-Chen Shangguan Phytochemical study of the ethanol extract of stems and leaves of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinsk (Juglandaceae) led to the isolation of 22 compounds, including seventeen triterpenes (1–17), two sterides (18,19), one straight chain diterpene (20) and two naphthoquinones (21,22). The structures of all isolated compounds were identifed by extensive spectroscopic analyses including NMR, MS, and by comparison with the related literature. These compounds have shown the relationship between this plant and other species from the Juglandaceae family.
