Whole genome sequencing of NDM-1-producing ST85 Acinetobacter baumannii isolates from Tunisia
Acinetobacter baumanni is becoming in the last decade the most threatening pathogen in hospital settings belonging to the ESKAPE pathogens [1]. The high-level of carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii (CRAb) are more commonly mediated by production of acquired class D carbapenem-hydrolysing β-lactamases and in a lesser extent class A and B carbapenemases [2,3].
