Routine monitoring of PROs in cancer has been associated with decreased emergency room visits as well as improved HRQOL, patient-physician communication and even overall survival in patients with metastatic cancer.1 In bladder cancer PRO use may be limited by the variety of disease states, various PRO instruments and perhaps most importantly by time.
