Is the Occlusion Site of the Lenticulostriate Artery Identified on Admission Related to Clinical Prognosis in Patients with Lacunar Stroke?

The mechanism of lacunar stroke (LS) is rather speculative due to the lack of neuropathological evidence in clinical practice. To explore the significance of the occlusion site of the lenticulostriate artery (LSA) to this mechanism, we investigated the characteristics and prognosis of patients with LS with proximal occlusions.
