Enhanced Recovery Decreases Pulmonary and Cardiac Complications Following Thoracotomy for Lung Cancer.
CONCLUSIONS: ERAS was associated with improved postoperative outcomes including decreased LOS, pulmonary and cardiac morbidity; after thoracotomy, but not minimally invasive surgery. ERAS safety was demonstrated by low rates of adverse events without impact on hospital readmission or perioperative mortality.
