The short cosyntropintest revisited - new normal reference range using LCMSMS.

Conclusions: Using LCMSMS, cutoff levels for cortisol and 17-OHP after cosyntropin stimulation are lower than those based on immunoassays, possibly since cross-reactivity between steroid intermediates and cortisol is eliminated.
