Anti-angiogenic therapies in  brain metastases

SummaryBrain metastases are a  major challenge in modern oncology, as treatment options upon the diagnosis of symptomatic brain metastases are limited. Neo-angiogenesis was identified as a hallmark of brain metastasis development and inhibition using anti-angiogenic therapy might therefore be an experimental promising prevent ive as well as therapeutic approach. The current review will summarize the current available data on the efficacy of neo-angiogenic therapies in patients with brain metastases.
