Barriers to Condom Use Among Sexual Minority Adolescents Living in the Midwest

Purpose: Sexual minority adolescents are disproportionately affected by high rates of HIV, STIs, substance abuse, suicide, discrimination in schools, and general poor healthcare outcomes. Adolescents experiencing increased differential barriers are expected to have decreased condom use and therefore are at higher risk of acquiring HIV and other STIs.
