Cornea, Contact Lenses & Refractive Technologies Resident Travel Fellowship Through a generous grant from Bausch + Lomb, the Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses & Refractive Technologies of the American Academy of Optometry is pleased to have the opportunity to provide 20 travel grants to optometric cornea/contact lens residents to attend the AAO annual meeting in Denver, November 12-15, 2014. All 2014-2015 cornea/contact lens residents who provide direct patient care are encouraged to apply. Application are accepted starting August 1, 2014.  To apply, please complete and submit the following to jjurkus@ico.edu 1. Completed Application Form 2. Resume; no more than two (2) pages 3. A one (1) page paper on what you see as benefits of being a Fellow then becoming a Diplomate and how this will apply to your career. 4. Program coordinator sends an email to jjurkus@ico.edu certifying that the applicant is a contact lens resident and does direct patient care. Award recipients of the travel fellowships must attend the meeting and be present at the CCLRT Section business meeting and at the reception on Friday evening, November 14, 2014.  The competitive grant is for $750.00. The deadline for the application is September 19, 2014. The travel grant recipients will be notified shortly thereafter. Travel Fellowship checks will be distributed at the CCLRT Section Business meeting, Saturday November 15th, during Academy 2014 Denver.
