1013: Inflammation across the course of the diabetic pregnancy.
Maternal diabetes is a growing epidemic and poses significant risk of adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes. The aim of this study is to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of maternal C-reactive protein levels across the course of pregnancy. We hypothesize that inflammation as measured by C-reactive protein, would be increased in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) compared to nondiabetic subjects.
