Advance Team: Medical Needs Shelter Set-Up Demonstration

Alabama Department of Public Health. 11/15/2017 This 30-minute video demonstrates the set-up for an Advance Team, a group of Alabama Department of Public Health employees who deploy to a Medical Needs Shelter (MNS) location in advance of the MNS Team. The team brings supplies and equipment for sheltering and, in coordination with local nursing staff, sets up the shelter. After the shelter closes, the Advance Team returns to the facility, packs up the equipment and unused supplies, and returns the items to the Center for Emergency Preparedness warehouse.
