FDA clears ALung device for clinical trials

Pittsburgh-based medical device firm ALung Technologies Inc. will conduct a pivotal clinical trial of its HemoLung Respiratory Assist System for the treatment of adults with severe exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
