Temporal Image Comparison (Serial Imaging) in Assessing Pigmented Lesions. A serial 2-step system could power mass screening efforts serving the uninsured and underinsured as well as the rural and remote US counties where melanoma mortality is doubled for lack of access to dermatologists. Furthermore, serial melanoma screening strategies, serial total body photography and serial digital dermatoscopy imaging may be performed as a telehealth service, and thus would be available in any location that can support activity compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and has appropriate bandwidth. We report a case of a 48-year-old woman with 9 months of rectal swelling and bleeding. Physical examination revealed a mass about 5 × 6 cm on the anterior wall of the rectum, 3 cm from the anal verge, and the patient underwent abdominoperineal resection (APR). After hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunohistochemical staining, it was considered an ARM, which is an aggressive disease with a poor survival. CONCLUSIONS IFN-alpha1b has an immunostimulatory activity similar to IFN-alpha2b and possesses milder adverse effects on immune checkpoints and stronger inhibitory effects on melanoma cell growth than IFN-alpha2b.
