ElectroCore raises $36m, looks to raise $29m more

ElectroCore has raised $36 million in a new round of equity and options financing, according to an SEC filing posted this week. The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based company is seeking an additional $29 million in the round to bring the total to $65 million. Funds raised so far have come from 31 unnamed investors, with the 1st sale dated on August 21, according to the SEC filing. Electrocore developed and produces the gammaCore non-invasive vagus nerve stimulator. The device won FDA approval in April and was launched in mid-July with indications for treating pain associated with episodic cluster headaches in adult patients.
