Evaluation of the relationship between CD36 and MARCO single-nucleotide polymorphisms and susceptibility to carotid atherosclerosis in a Chinese Han population.

CONCLUSIONS: CD36 and MARCO are associated with the susceptibility of Chinese Han females to carotid atherosclerosis. Menopausal status may affect the association between gene polymorphisms and carotid atherosclerosis in the female Chinese Han population.
