2017 Hooley Awards Winners Announced at ImageTrend Connect

LAKEVILLE, MINN. - ImageTrend, Inc. announced the winners of the 2017 Hooley™ Awards. Nominees were narrowed down to a field of nine finalists – three in each of three categories – from which the winners were selected by a panel of third-party judges. Judges cast votes via secret ballot for each category. ImageTrend extends congratulations to the nominees, finalists and winners of the Third Annual Hooley Awards. Innovation Award To recognize those who are serving in a new or innovative way to meet the needs of their organization, including developing programs or solutions to benefit providers, administrators, or the community. Winner: Michael Poynter – Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS) Under the leadership of Michael Poynter, Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services has continuously been on the forefront of EMS data collection. With nearly all of the state’s EMS agencies reporting, KBEMS switched focus to data accessibility for care providers and external stakeholder research. Data sharing agreements were formalized with the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center and the Kentucky Department for Public Health, and a partnership with the Kentucky Health Information Exchange will make pre-hospital records available throughout the patient’s continuum of care.
