Gastric Lesion in a Patient With Lynch Syndrome

Question: An asymptomatic, 67-year-old woman was referred for esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and ileocolonoscopy in view of her diagnosis of Lynch syndrome (LS). The EGD revealed generalized erythema of the gastric mucosa and a urease test was positive. While withdrawing the endoscope, the shown lesion, measuring approximately 3  × 5mm (Figure A, white light imaging), was identified at the middle of the gastric body and multiple biopsies were taken (Figure B, stain: hematoxylin and eosin; C, magnification).
