TMA to Give Nearly 1,000 Helmets in March: Brain Injury Awareness Month

The Texas Medical Association ’s (TMA’s) Hard Hats for Little Heads program will give children nearly 1,000 free bicycle helmets in March — designated as Brain Injury Awareness Month — to protect them from head injuries. TMA physicians and other volunteers will host helmet giveaway events across the state to teach paren ts and children the importance of wearing a helmet while riding, especially one that fits properly.
