Mosquito Abatement at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach

The objective is to control larval and pupal mosquitoes in their aquatic sites to prevent the emergence of adult mosquitoes. Because the mosquito control will be performed on the National Wildlife Refuge within the habitat of endangered and threatened species, all control operations must be conducted with minimal impact on the natural resources. As such, special permitting will be required from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), to peform any service on any protected site. This cooperative agreement is established in accordance with California Health and Safety Code (HSC) 2001 and OPNAVINST 6250.4C 4. d.(18). OCVCD is the designated recipient of this cooperative agreement. This posting is an announcement of a sole source cooperative agreement being established with OCVCD.
