Characterization of an autotransporter adhesin protein shared by Burkholderia mallei and Burkholderia pseudomallei
BpaC, an autotransporter adhesion protein found in the pathogenic species Burkholderia mallei and Burkholderia pseudomallei, mediates adherence to respiratory epithelial cells and is expressed in vivo during the course of aerosol infection.
