Interlaboratory ring trial to evaluate CFT proficiency of European laboratories for diagnosis of glanders in equids

This study confirmed the reliability of CFT and highlighted its intralaboratory reproducibility. However, the sensitivity of glanders serodiagnosis and laboratory proficiency may be improved by standardising critical reagents, including antigens, and by developing a standard B mallei serum.
