Self-efficacy, self-care behaviours and glycaemic control in type 2 diabetic patients in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Conclusion Most respondents had low self-efficacy scores and low levels of diabetes self-care behaviours. Healthcare providers in Saudi Arabia should include aspects of self-efficacy theory when designing educational programmes that can result in improvement of self-care behaviours and hence achieve optimal glycaemic control.
