Mass. General study examines how patient's unmet needs impact their health and health care

(Massachusetts General Hospital) A study of patients seen at two primary care practices at Massachusetts General Hospital has identified specific unmet socioeconomic needs that can interfere with the quality of care patients receive. The paper published online in the journal BMJ Quality & Safety also describes a pilot project designed to help patients receive assistance to meet those needs.
