Racial disparities in hair loss episodes in patients with alopecia areata: A retrospective cohort study
Alopecia areata (AA) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by non-scarring hair loss. Although most AA patients experience hair loss that resolves spontaneously, some may experience episodic disease flares which increase the cumulative disease burden and impairment of quality of life (QoL).
