Intragastric Balloon as a Noninvasive Method for Obesity Treatment: A Single-Center Retrospective Study
CONCLUSIONS: Balloon therapy typically helps patients lose 10% of body weight. Intragastric balloons are effective when used as weight loss tools, but are ineffective at maintaining weight loss. An intragastric device placed for 6 months may also be expected to help the patients develop better eating habits; however, we did not encounter this lifestyle change in our series.PMID:38684492 | DOI:10.62713/aic.3376
