Virtual Reality (VR) as an Alternative Treatment in Palliative Care

The purpose of this quality improvement project was to determine the impact and viability of multiple virtual reality use-case platforms on overall patient outcomes in the palliative and long-term care setting. Nine areas were assessed utilizing a 1-10 Likert scale, pre- and post-participation, including well-being, anxiety, depression, shortness of breath, lack of appetite, nausea, drowsiness, tiredness, and pain.
