400. Polygenic Architecture of Metabolic Markers Reveals Distinct Patterns of Overlap With Psychiatric Disorders
Psychiatric disorders and their comorbid somatic diseases are associated with differences in the concentration of metabolites in blood plasma. It is unknown whether shared genetic components or lifestyle factors drive these associations. Charting the genetic architecture of these markers enables us to better understand the innate susceptibility to metabolic dysfunction and associated diseases, revealing underlying molecular mechanisms as potential therapeutic targets.
