Unrecognized Unstable Angina: A Cautionary Tale of Biased Symptomatology and Diagnostic Anchoring

1. Participants will be able to understand the importance in palliative medicine of comprehensive assessments of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual symptoms and needs to most effectively palliate all forms of suffering.2. Participants will be able to recognize the link between the use of inherently biased, “textbook” descriptions of various symptomatologies and diagnostic anchoring bias, particularly in the care of women and individuals from communities of color.
