23 Evaluation of pulmonary rehabilitation pilot service in Inverclyde Royal Hospital
Lung cancer causes the greatest cancer mortality in Scotland and is a focus in the Scottish Government's cancer strategy. Prehabilitation optimises patients ’ physical fitness and mental well-being pre-cancer treatment. A prehabilitation service was introduced in December 2022 at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. It offered physiotherapy, dietetic information, smoking cessation, access to financial support, psychological and symptom control.
