The Duty to Accommodate

J Rheumatol. 2024 Apr 1:jrheum.2024-0257. doi: 10.3899/jrheum.2024-0257. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAs the study by Jazayeri et al in this issue of The Journal of Rheumatology points out, the prevalence of unemployment in people with systemic sclerosis (SSc) is estimated at 40.5%, and SSc is associated with "presenteeism (ie, working while unwell), lack of participation in employment, and ultimately, absenteeism."1 This is of course true of patients with the many other musculoskeletal diseases that we as rheumatologists treat.PMID:38561186 | DOI:10.3899/jrheum.2024-0257
