The structure-giving role of Rb+ ions for water –ice nanoislands supported on Cu(111)

Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2024, Advance Article DOI: 10.1039/D3CP05968E, PaperJavier A. Mart ínez, Inga C. Langguth, David Olivenza-León, Karina Morgenstern Solvation of rubidium in contact with the Cu(111) surface is studied by low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. Rubidium ions induce changes in the geometry of the water ice island, presenting a structure-building effect.
