Spatiotemporal distribution of mediastinal neoplasms: A comprehensive multi-center study

The widespread utilization of chest computed tomography (CT) imaging [1] and the implementation of lung cancer screening projects [2] have led to a heightened detection rate of mediastinal lesions in recent years [3,4]. Mediastinal neoplasms are typical thoracic disease, with a prevalence of 0.77  %–1.68 %, affecting up to 60–130 million individuals worldwide [3,5,6]. These lesions encompass a variety of benign and malignant diseases, and the available treatment options are closely tied to their classification [7].
