IgE to cyclophilins in pollen allergic children: epidemiological, clinical and diagnostic relevance of a neglected panallergen.

Capsule summary: Plant cyclophilins, panallergens known since decades, are still neglected. However, among Italian children with seasonal allergic rhino-conjunctivitis, cyclophilin-sIgE antibodies cause false positive reactions to pollen extracts of many clinically relevant species, mainly trees and weeds.
