Why laboratory-developed test for endometrial receptivity analysis may have failed to deliver
I read with great interest recent articles by Arian et al. (1) that raise doubts about the clinical utility of endometrial receptivity analysis (ERA)–guided personalized embryo transfers. The ERA test comprises customized 238-gene microarray panel (replaced now by next-generation sequencing) for precise dating and successful implantation during assi sted reproduction. The use of ERA may fail in the lack of understanding of underlying mechanisms that result in nonreceptive endometrium.
