Hepatic Abscess in a Previously Healthy Adolescent Female

Hepatic abscesses in the adolescent population are uncommon. A hepatic abscess is an intra-abdominal infection usually disseminated from the bile duct or portal circulation. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent serious complications and reduce mortality. This case report focuses on an adolescent patient who presented to a telemedicine urgent care with ongoing episodes of fever, chills, and body aches with developing abdominal pain and shoulder pain.
