Inadvertent Platelet Transfusion from Monkeypox Virus-Infected Donor to Recipient, Thailand, 2023

Two days later, the donor was confirmed to have monkeypox virus infection. Monkeypox virus DNA was undetectable in recipient specimens up to 2 weeks after transfusion.
