Radiation dose during contemporary percutaneous coronary interventions for chronic total occlusion: insights from the PROGRESS-CTO registry

J Invasive Cardiol. 2024 Feb 23. doi: 10.25270/jic/23.00281. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTChronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is associated with high radiation doses. In this manuscript, we examined the contemporary trends and determinants of radiation dose in the PROGRESS CTO (Prospective Global Registry for the Study of CTO Intervention; Clinicaltrials.gov identifier: NCT02061436) registry. Radiation dose during CTO PCI did not change significantly since 2020, highlighting the need for innovation and operator education to further maintain radiation safety.PMID:38412437 | DOI:10.25270/jic/23.00281
