Response to letter to the editor by Sterpetti et al

We thank Sterpetti et al., for their response to our paper [1]. in their Letter to the Editor, they assert that increasing exposure to green space to reduce the risk of stroke incidence and poor stroke outcomes may not be feasible as it would be too expensive and take too long. They reason that it is therefore better to focus on reducing exposure to known risk factors such as air pollution and improving preventive health care and education. We concur that it is critically important to reduce exposure to known risk factors and the data presented by Sterpetti et al., support that this is likely to reduce stroke mortality.
