Prevalence of overactive bladder among overweight and obese women: A prospective cross-sectional cohort study
Overactive bladder (OAB) is an entity that affects and negatively impacts the quality of life (QoL) and sexual function of approximately 12 % of the adult female population [1]. The International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) and the International Continence Society (ICS) define urinary urgency as a complex of symptoms defined by increased daytime frequency and nocturia with or without urinary incontinence in the absence of pat hologic or metabolic conditions that may explain these symptoms [2].
