Morbidly adherent placenta as a cause of peripartum hysterectomy in Slovakia
Introduction and aims: Morbidly adherent placenta (MAP) is one of the major risk factors for peripartum hysterectomy (PH) in developed countries. The main aim of this study was to assess the PH cases associated with MAP in Slovak Republic. Additionally, we wanted to explore demographic parameters, associated clinical circumstances, complications, maternal and fetal outcome.
