22. Adolescent and Young Adult Worry About School Gun Violence and Mental Health - Data from a Nationally Representative Study

We used nationally representative data to describe the impact of worrying about school gun violence (SGV) on the mental health of adolescents and young adults (AYA). Prior research links mental health outcomes to family closeness (FC) and social media activity (SMA). We explore these factors as potential modifiers to understand SGV's impact on AYAs.
