190. Identifying Provider Attitudes, Practices, and Barriers to Three-Point Extra-Genital Testing for Neisseria Gonorrhea and Chlamydia Trachomatis Infections Among Adolescents and Young Adults

Despite increasing rates of Neisseria gonorrhea (GC) and Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) infections among adolescents and young adults nationally, prior studies have demonstrated suboptimal screening in pediatric settings. Data regarding extra-genital testing for these infections are limited. The purpose of this study was to describe provider attitudes, knowledge, and practices around recommended sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and identify barriers to extra-genital screening for GC and CT at a large urban pediatric teaching hospital.
