Comment to “Volume of the normal prostate gland in Polish boys aged 1–17 years: Based on transabdominal ultrasound – Prospective study”

I reviewed with great interest the study by Kowalczyk et  al. [1]. I appreciate the authors’ effort in developing nomograms for prostate size in the pediatric population. In many aspects of pediatric urology, nomograms serve as necessary and important reference tools in diagnostic and clinical decision-making processes [2]. However, we carefully need t o assess and consider the method, study population and statistical handling of data that give rise to new nomograms before uncritically applying them to our daily work routine.
